Ides 65: Gladstone

As the oldest operating hotel in Toronto, established in 1889, Gladstone House is part of the rich history of this city. With a storied past, architectural pedigree and an extensive redesign completed in 2021, the hotel proudly resumes its place as a neighbourhood beacon and Toronto landmark in the heart of West Queen West. From the carved stone animals on the exterior to the c.1904 hand-operated elevator to carefully restored original “G” armchairs, the newly renovated hotel remains full of historical character. We’re a hub for art and culture, and provide a space that fosters creativity, invention and re-invention. You’ll find artwork by local artists throughout the hotel, including one of a kind art in each of the guest rooms.
