Schmeltzer's Seltzer - Cucumber Mint

Adin’s great uncle Irving brewed the most wonderful seltzers. This everyone knew. Brewed them from sugar cane he grew out on the fire escape, no less.

“Go into business, why don’t you?” they said, and he did. A seltzer maven Irving may have been but a business genius he was not. After just ten months, Schmeltzer’s Seltzer was kaput, and Irving returned to his job in the fasteners department at the hardware store.

Irving kept on brewing his seltzers for family and friends, and his recipe and technique was passed down through the generations. And now we brew it right here at Henderson. Though, admittedly we don’t grow the sugar cane on the fire escape.

The cucumber and mint here are very balanced and on a canvas of effervescent carbonation So drink already!

Overall: The cucumber and mint here are very balanced and on a canvas of effervescent carbonation

Not Far From The Tree has picked and found a home for over 100,000 kilos of fruit since then, sharing 1/3 of the fruit picked with the tree owner, 1/3 amongst the volunteer pickers, and1/3 to food banks, community kitchens, supportive housing programs, and community health centres

Henderson Brewing is partnering with Not Far From The Tree to support their volunteers, provide a location to store and sell surplus fruit and, unsurprisingly, make wonderful spritzes with it. Because who doesn’t like bubbles?
