Ides 84: The Fetherstonehaugh
OG: 15
IBU: 0
Colour SRM: 4
Clarity: Hazy
Malt: 2-Row, Flaked Wheat, Flaked Oats, DextraPils, Rice Hulls
Hops: Citra, Simcoe, Cashmere, Sabro
Yeast: Escarpment Labs Cali Ale
Appearance: Golden yellow with flecks of light orange and a thick white head
Aroma: Ripe melon, tropical pineapple, orange zest
Taste: Fresh-squeezed orange juice, Sunny-D, cantaloupe, biscuity malt, sliced pineapple, finishing surprisingly smooth with no lingering bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-full bodied, smooth and creamy with moderate and pleasant carbonation.
Overall impression: A juicy & inviting IPA with full tropical and citrus flavour divorced from the bitterness so familiar in IPAs. Like trying to rev the engine on an electric car and being surprised by how much you enjoy gliding forward without noise or effort.
