When I was your age, we didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy beers like this limited-release dark ale with rich notes of bread crusts and dark fruits that drinks dangerously and beautifully, leading into a dry, slightly roasty, warming finish.
OG: 21.0 IBU: 30 SRM: 27
Carbonation: 2.3 Volumes (Medium Low)
Malts: Pale 2 Row, Vienna, Oat Malt, Crystal 120, Crystal 85, Carafa Special III, Pale Chocolate
Hops: Magnum, East Kent Golding
Yeast: English Ale
Appearance: The darkest mahogany black & brown with flecks of orange and a thin, short-lasting tan head.
Aroma: Toasty malts with a slight hint of tart red cherry, suggestion of booziness.
Taste: Bread crust, toasted malt, pitted red cherries, those spices that make your hot chocolate feel fancy, warming alcohol.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and smooth with a pleasantly dry finish to cut through the decadence.
Overall: A winter-warmer that balances rich, generous flavour with the cold, dry finish that reminds you why you'd prefer to be inside for the next few months.
