The Farrier's Fancy

Long ago, a lone burrito peddler traveling through a vast desert found his steed limping in great discomfort, for want of a new horseshoe. Desperate for a draught of refreshing ale with which to wash the dust from his throat & a good night’s sleep at the nearest inn, the peddler grew suddenly anxious. when, as if by magic, a whistling farrier suddenly appeared on foot from behind the nearby brush, hauling his forge behind him. “Thanks to Heaven!” cried the burrito peddler. “My horse is in most dire need of a new shoe. Wilst thou help?!”

“Good sir,” replied the farrier, “in exchange for a kind veggie burrito (with a morsel of ripe avocado thrown in at no extra charge), it would be my humble pleasure.” Whereupon the farrier set about forging a golden-winged horseshoe which quickened the horse’s pace towards the tavern & which, when positioned in the correct way, magically filled with delicious beer! The other day, one of our production guys picked up this very same horseshoe at a local antique market somewhere in the Golden Horseshoe. For ten bucks. No, seriously!
